European Week of Regions and Cities
The EWRC provides a platform where regions and cities from across Europe can showcase their expertise, exchange experiences, and present their views on the implementation of EU regional and cohesion policy. The theme of this year’s event is “Stronger Regions, Stronger Europe.” As competitiveness and economic growth will be at the core of EU policy in the coming years, discussions at this year’s event are expected to focus strongly on how regional and local actors can contribute to economic growth, employment, and research and innovation activities together with the EU.
The week will bring together a wide range of participants, including representatives of regional and local authorities, EU policymakers, experts, researchers, and journalists. The programme will feature a diverse selection of sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a forum for sharing best practices, building new connections, and discussing current topics and challenges.
