Horizon Europe 2025 work programs distributing €7.2 billion in funding

The European Commission has pre-published this year’s work programs for Horizon Europe thematic clusters after a delay of several months. The delay is due to the new Commission’s updated priorities being taken into account in the work programs, so that new priorities for increasing competitiveness and reducing the administrative burden related to funding applications are already taken into account in the calls opening in 2025.
The calls for funding for collaborative projects in six different thematic areas cover, among others, health, creative industries, security, digital and space, energy, bioeconomy and food-related research and innovation projects, which seek the impact achieved by actors from different Member States together in order to translate research results into products and services based on the project results.
The pre-published work programs can now be considered final in terms of content, although formal publication is expected within a few weeks in May.
Some funding applications open as early as May and close in September, so if you are interested in a specific funding application or want to know what opportunities your organization has for funding your activities, please contact Jari Ahola.
