The Digital Europe Program 2025-2027 work program has been published

Digital Europe, created for the 2021-2027 programming period, is the EU’s first funding programme focused on bringing digital technology to businesses and citizens. The final work programme of the period will focus on areas of strategic importance to the EU, such as artificial intelligence and responding to cyber threats.

The 2025-2027 work programme is the last of its kind for the current Digital Europe programme. The programme will improve the EU’s critical digital capabilities in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud and data, cybersecurity, computing and semiconductors.

The work programme focuses on strategic objectives for the future of the EU. The priorities are the implementation of AI Factories through the EuroHPC JU, supporting the next phase of the Destination Earth initiative, ensuring the deployment of sector-specific data spaces, supporting the implementation of the Apply AI strategy, supporting the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), responding to cyber threats, further developing digital skills in education, facilitating the architecture of the digital ID wallet, and encouraging transnational cooperation, including by supporting the European Digital Infrastructure Consortia (EDICs).

The remaining budget for the program for the final years is €3.2 billion. Future funding calls will open in April and will be open until September. Calls can be followed on the Commission’s funding portal. You can learn more about the work program here.
